Our purpose is to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ and by sending and/or supporting equipped disciple-makers to plant disciple making churches both locally and globally. We place a high priority on evangelizing, discipling, and church planting among the least reached people groups. We are, however, mindful of the global balance according to Acts 1:8 as it relates to our church’s ministry.

The Missions team will put the highest priority and value on prayer in seeking God's direction and perfect will, and in the process following "the Great Commission" Matt. 28:18-20.The Missions team desires wholehearted support from the church body and will encourage the church to keep a list of our supported missionaries and to pray for them regularly. The Missions team will determine the type of ministries best suited for our church's resources in order to be the most effective in sending and supporting missionaries. The Missions team will be proactive wherever possible in discerning what God is calling us to do.The Missions team will use a precise and focused support strategy rather than supporting many randomly chosen missionaries or short term trips.

At The Bridge Bible Fellowship, we want you to experience the great worship music, challenging messages from God's Word, friendly people and enjoyable atmosphere that are a part of The Bridge. We know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions. How do I get there? What should I wear? What's available for my kids? What should I expect in church?

No Title - Jail Ministry

Currently, there are twelve faithful volunteers serving in this ministry once per month on a rotation basis. We are always looking for more volunteers to join us at any of these facilities. The greatest need is at the Todd Road Jail and the NCCF. At the present, there are two ladies serving at the Ventura County Main Jail; however, more ladies are needed. Our goal for 2006 is to double the size of our ministry. The application process for becoming a jail ministry volunteer is very simple. Any Bridge Bible Fellowship member in good standing, who is 30 years of age or older is encouraged to contact one of the jail ministry team leaders if he or she senses God's leading to become involved in this important ministry.

Hebrews 13:3 Remember the prisoners, as though in prison with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you yourselves also are in the body.

Jail Ministry at The Bridge Bible Fellowship - Jail Ministry

The jail ministry at The Bridge Bible Fellowship exists for the sole purpose of reaching out to inmates with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide love, hope and encouragement for those who have been largely forgotten by our society. This ministry has roots that go back to 1984 when a small group of faithful brothers provided church services to inmates at the Wayside Honor Ranch once or twice per month. Since then, it has grown to include two jails in Ventura County and the North County Correctional Facility (NCCF) in Castaic. Over the past two decades we've seen many inmates come to saving faith in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit and the teaching of the Word of God.
